About Gedimex :
The province of West Flanders is situated near the North Sea and for decades it has been known as one of the most fertile grounds with an ideal moderate climate for growth of potatoes and a wide range of vegetables.
During the 60s and 70s several farmer’s families invested their capital in processing lines and were pioneers of what later became the core of Belgium’s frozen food industries.
Today our province houses the leading industries in processing potatoes and vegetables, some of them reaching as high as the European and worldclass top range.
Against this background and in this environment Gedimex has known its development as sales office for frozen food products originally of local Belgian origin.
However, the geographical expansion of the business quickly made it necessary to widen our horizons and to work with processing units from other countries and continents.
Along with the time the customer base changed and the sector of industrial food production became more and more under focus. Via the commercialisation of dehydrated potato flakes a 2nd Gedimex division became operational : dehydrated ingredients for food industries.
The ‘Frozen Foods’ and ‘Dehydrated Ingredients’ divisions serve customers all over the world, either in full container loads or in part loads. Each new challenge is an extra motivation for our team to keep the reputation high: simply good is not enough, it must be the best!
Our mission:
Gedimex aims to be the indispensable source of added value for the export minded manufacturer of food ingredients and frozen food products as well as for the B2B customer in aforementioned items. Based on the strength of its determination, professionalism and fair-play it should make itself valuable as a beacon of continuous support and service for large and medium sized food companies with a clear view on long term cooperation in a win-win atmosphere.
